Airline Industry Information - Southwest Airlines teams up with InterContinental Hotels GroupAIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) has teamed up with a new partner for its Rapid Rewards programme. The airline said that it has entered a partnership with InterContinental Hotels Group (NYSE: IHG). From 1 October Southwest Airlines' Rapid Rewards Members who enroll in IHG's Priority Club Rewards and select Southwest Airlines to create a preferred earning alliance will receive a half credit in Southwest's Rapid Rewards programme for each qualifying stay at any of the 3,500 IHG properties worldwide, including: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, and Candlewood Suites.
